When I started working with Adempiere in 2008, I already had a feeling that I was encountering something special. The robustness of the system showcased the potential of an open-source solution that could make a real difference. But honestly, I had no idea that this project would accompany me throughout my entire professional journey.
Over the years, I watched Adempiere transform into iDempiere, incorporating modern technologies and establishing itself as one of the most innovative and flexible open-source solutions available. This evolution inspired me to dive even deeper into this universe, witnessing and contributing to its history firsthand.
In this post, I want to share an overview of this fascinating journey. From its roots in Compiere to the most recent milestones of iDempiere, we’ll explore how this global community built an ERP that continues to redefine the market. And this is just the introduction to a complete series that will follow!
